How this site works
This site has two parts that live in different places.
The writing
The pages you are reading are plain HTML files served by Cloudflare. They stay up whether or not my own machine is on.
The apps
The interactive demos run on an NVIDIA DGX Spark on my desk. Cloudflare
does not run them. A cloudflared tunnel on the Spark makes
an outbound connection to Cloudflare, and each demo gets its own
subdomain that forwards to a local port:
<app>.<domain> → localhost:<port>
No ports are opened on my network, and the GPU work happens on the Spark.
Up or down
The apps page asks a small Cloudflare Worker for each app's status. The Worker sends one request per app through the tunnel. If the app answers, it is up. If Cloudflare answers for it because the tunnel or the app is not running, it is down. Results are cached briefly, so the status can lag by a minute or so.
